Auditing training by CAG in developing Countries

Mr. Vinod Rai, Comptroller and Auditor General of India said after a steering committee meeting of International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions, a worldwide affiliation of government entities, that the country's top audit institution is assisting capacity building in auditing sector in other developing countries and has an important place at global level.

Three national level and twelve regional level centres are imparting training in auditing and a national level centre is also being set up in Jaipur which has been given affiliation for training at the global level.

The Comptroller General of the United States Mr. Gene Dodaro speaking on the occasion said that the US is also working towards assisting auditing institutions across the world.

The World Bank's Chief Financial Management Officer Anthony Hegarty appreciated the role and work of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India stating that it is an institution of high standard having trained approximately 3000 people in auditing in different countries.
