Asia Pacific Top 10 includes Indian B-Schools

According to a survey four Indian Business Schools have made it to the top 10 business Schools in the Asia Pacific region thereby strengthening their stand amongst international employers. According to the QS Global 200 business schools report there is considerable improvement in International employer opinion for Indian Business Schools moving up not only in Asia Pacific rating but also in almost all the specialisation.

Australia has 11 premier Business Schools in the top 36 Business schools while India has six with four of them ranking in the top 10,with IIM, Ahmedabad in second position, IIM, Bangalore fifth, Indian School of Business seventh and IIM, Kolkatta in eighth position. S P Jain Institute of Management & Researchhas ranked 16th while Indian Institute of Foreign Trade has made it to the 21st position.

Among the business schools that have shown the biggest improvements are IIM, Ahmedabad and IIM, Kolkatta both having jumped four places in the rating.

Business Schools in Asia Pacific region has grown from strength to strength over the years in the global business education scene with the number of business schools in Asia and Australia featuring in QS Global 200 having increased from 10 in 2004 to 36 in 2012.

As per the report the growth in the economy viewed in some of the Asian countries particularly in China and India has increased the demand for more reputed business schools to to train the next generation of business leaders.

According to the report the major players in the region's education sector are Australia, Singapore and India, the rapid rise  being in the Asian business Schools especially in India and china highlighting the fact that employers of this region have started giving due importance to MBAs.

The other premier business schools in the Asia pacific region are Melbourne Business School, The University of Melbourne at the 3rd place, followed by NUS Business School, National University of Singapore (4th), University of South Wales (6th), China Europe International Business School (9th), the HKUST Business School at (10th).
