Eplus Club launched at MIC College

A festive atmosphere prevailed on the Devineni Venkataramana and Dr. Himasekhar MIC College of Technology campus at Kanchikacherla, about 50 km from here with about 300 engineering students enjoying every moment of the demonstrative group discussion in which 10 of their classmates participated as part of formal launch of The Hindu Education Plus Club.

The Hindu launched yet another E-Plus Club following a demand from various colleges to improve their oratory and communicative skills. MIC College of Technology Secretary G. Panduranga Rao, welcomed The Hindu initiative to reach out to the students who hail from rural backgrounds for improving their confidence levels by providing a platform to bring out their creative side in a non-teaching atmosphere. “Our students are good at core skills but developing overall personality has been the greatest challenge before us,” explained Mr. Panduranga Rao. Expressing concern over the dying habit of reading among the students, he hoped that the students would widen their spectrum of knowledge by at least glancing at the headlines of The Hindu every day.

Conduira Education and Training Private Limited Director Amith Anand explained nuances of preparing for an interview and developing his/her personality. Students who participated in the group discussion are Ramcharan, V. Sravya, Neeraj, Pratyusha, Bhagya Sri, Akash Saha, Ch. D.N.V. Sindhu, G.N.V. Tarun Kumar and Ramya Sri.
