ITI of Kaithal, Kurukshetra adjudged best performers

Two Industrial Training Institutes of Haryana have been chosen as the best performers at a national level conference organised by Mumbai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Union Labour Department, a state minister said here.
   
"ITI Kaithal, which secured the first place, followed by ITI Kurukshetra were honoured at the national conference organised by Mumbai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Union Labour Department held at Mumbai on February 3," Haryana Industrial Training Minister Geeta Bhukkal said in a press release.
   
The minister said that under the up-gradation scheme, as many as 48 government institutes out of 123 ITIs of the state were being upgraded.
   
Under the scheme, interest free amount of Rs 2.5 crore have been provided to each institute, Bhukkal said.    

Union government plans to upgrade 1,396 government ITIs in the country, she added.
