Bangaldeshi Medical student to be deported

A Bangladeshi first year MBBS student Preetam Dutta studying in Mata Gujri Devi Memorial Medical College, Kishanganj in Bihar, will be deported withina week to Bangladesh following rejection of his application for extension of VISA on some technical grounds, Superintendent of Police Ranjit Kumar Mishra said.

Mishra said he had received an order to this effect from the state home department and Dutta studying under NRI quota will be sent back to his country.

"Dutta had applied for extension of his VISA but he failed to secure the extension on technical grounds perhaps because of mismatch of his signature on application for extension of VISA and passport", he said.

"The order for his deportation to Bangladesh from India is being served on him", the SP said adding, "We will take suitable step within a week".

"Non compliance of the order may lead to the administration taking legal action against the student", Mishra said.
