Management convention to be held at Chennai

Chennai: AIMA and Madras Management Association will jointly organize a two-day National Management Convention in Chennai, beginning on September 18.

Speaking to press persons about the programme, Srinivasan K. Swamy, president of AIMA (All-India Management Association), said the convention is being held in Chennai after eight years, with the theme 'Creating lasting value' for this year.
Leading industrialist like S.K. Munjal, Chairman, Hero Corporate Services; Nitin Paranjipe, CEO and Managing Director, Hindustan Unilever; Vinita Bali, Managing Director, Britannia Industries; Puneet Dalmia, Managing Director, Dalmia Cements, would be participating in the programme.

Including delegates from abroad, nearly 850 delegates would be participating in the convention, which would be constructive for CEOs, bureaucrats, senior and top management professionals, academicians and students, Mr. Srinivasan K. Swamy said.

The convention would cover diverse themes like 'Towards customer leadership,' Towards cost competitiveness,' 'Value creation through people power,' 'Leading through innovation' and 'Creating winning organisations tomorrow,'he said.

At the convention, A. Sivasailam, Chairman of the Amalgamations Group, would be honoured with 'Distinguished Service Award,' Mr. Srinivasan K. Swamy added
