Training programme for budding Historians

In a bid to cater clear guidelines to the budding scholars of Historical Research, a training programme was conducted in Sir Theagaraya College of Chennai.

The Training programme on 'Historiography and Research Methodology' supported by Indian Council of Historical Research(ICHR) was organised by the History department of Theagaraya College on 23rd and 24th of January.

The Inaugural function was held in the presence of Dr. S.K.Aruni, Deputy director of ICHR, Southern Regional centre, Bengaluru, Dr. Subramanya Raju, Principal, Sir Theagaraya College and somany celebrities of the field of History.

In this Training programme, several number of paper presentations covering various titles like Dimensions of Historical research, Objectivity in Historical writing, Building Competencies of the History students, PostModernism and History, Governmental sources for writing the History of Tamilnadu - An analysis and Gender in Historiography were delivered to the budding scholars by senior professors from across Tamilnadu, Andhra and Karnataka.

At the end of the programme, Certificates were issued to the participants.
