Students lock college protesting Principals transfer

Students of a polytechnic college at Kalna in Burdwan district shut the institute and sat on a dharna to protest the transfer of their principal.
   
Students of the Kalna Polytechnic college locked the institute's main gate to protest the transfer of their principal Asit Kumr Manna to Kurseong.
   
"Demanding that the transfer of Manna to Kurseong be cancelled around 300 students of the institute locked the main gate and sat on a dharna," police sources said.
    
The students claimed that Manna was very helpful to them and also helped them with placements.
