Swami Vivekananda remembered on his 150th birthday

370 school students dressed up as Swami Vivekandanda as part of his 150th birth anniversary celebrations and in a bid to enter the Guinness book of world records.

The students, belonging to the first to fifth standards of Gurukulam Vidyalaya in Thuneri here, dressed up in saffron as Vivekananda and stood for 15 minutes on the premises. Through this feat, the students were attempting to gain an entry into the Guinness and Limca book of records, school authorities said.
 
The event was recorded in video which would be sent to the records, they said.
 
Meanwhile Manas, a social organisation and students of different colleges paid tribute at St.Thomas Church here by placing flowers on the memorial of Josia Goodwyn who was the stenographer of Swami Vivekananda.
