TN Govt extends chance to complete polytechnic studies

For those students having arrear papers in polytechnic studies due to various reasons, the Government of Tamil Nadu has extended a grace period to complete the studies and move on to pursue higher education.

In Tamil Nadu, 30 government, 34 government Aided and 365 self-financed private polytechnic colleges are functioning.

Through this orders, about 91, 000 students in the state of Tamil Nadu would get chances in April and October, 2012 to complete their arrear papers so that they can pursue higher studies. 

Many students could not clear their polytechnic studies due to various reasons like failure, unable continue education due family situation, attendance shortage and absence.

Generally, students who are unable to complete their studies within the allotted 3 years duration are usually provided with 3 years ( 6 Semesters) grace period to complete their studies. However, some are unable to complete the studies even during the provided grace period.

The Government of Tamil Nadu has now provided extended grace period for all those who had not been able to complete their studies.  

Dinakaran, Principal of Arulmigu Palani Andavar Polytechnic College revealed, " Across the state, there are nearly 91,000 students who have not completed their polytechnic studies. By paying Rs 500 for each paper, they can appear for the un-cleared papers in the April and October exams."
