National level camp of NCC contingents

The national leval camp of NCC contingents from across the country will foster the spirit of national integration and enlighten the NCC cadets about the vast and rich cultural heritage of the country, a top army commander said.

G-o-C 4 Corps and commander of the anti-insurgency Unified Command Structure Lt Gen Shakti Gurung said this while inaugurating the 12-day National Integration Camp (NIC) at the NCC group headquarters in Tezpur University here in Assam.
      
The country level NCC camp held for the first time in the North East region will create awareness among the NCC cadets about other parts of the country, their past and present cultural heritage, history and natural beauty.
 
The camp will also help the NCC cadets to carry forward the rich cultural heritage of the region to their states, Lt Gen Gurung said.
    
During the course of the camp the NCC cadets will express there views in debates and discussions on various social issues.
    
The NIC under the  aegis of NCC directorate NER, Shillong, was being attended by about 800 NCC cadets.
