Delhi Public School, Nacharam, organised a visit to Zilla Parishad High School situated in Mahabubnagar district.

The trip intended to inculcate, in the students, a sense of social responsibility and sensitivity towards others.

The trip started from DPS Nacharam at around 7:00 a.m. with bus full of enthusiastic students and teachers who wished to reach the village at the earliest.

Everyone wanted to have a first hand experience of the way of life in a village.
Long drive

The three and half hours drive to the village felt short as the bus made its way towards its destination with the students singing, talking and laughing, with the excitement intensifying as the village drew closer.

Upon reaching the village, the students and teachers of DPS, Nacharam, were welcomed by the students and teachers of ZPHS. Some presented fresh flower , while others gave fruits. This was followed by a group dance presented by the students of ZPHS. The students of DPS, Nacharam, sang songs.

The students were divided into groups and they went round the village, meetng people and saw the lifestyle of the villagers.

Students of DPS gifted ZPHS students study materials, clothes, food items and toys, trying to reach out in our small way.

On the way back, we promised ourselves to continue with the similar endeavour, in the future, and try to make the school motto, “Service Before Self” a reality.
