HC dismisses petition challenging TET

Updated on: Thursday, December 15, 2011

Patna high court today dismissed a petition challenging the Teachers' Eligibility Test(TET) scheduled to be held later this month in Bihar.

The single judge bench of Justice Ramesh Kumar Dutta passed the order. The petitioner Nuzhat Iqbal had challenged the TET on the ground that the authorities had failed to make a distinction between trained and untrained teachers among various criterion for the applicants.

The state government will conduct the test on December 20 and 21 to shortlist eligible candidates for future recruitment as school teachers in Bihar
