Renaming of college after Dev Anand sought

A social organisation here has demanded renaming of a local college after legendary Bollywood actor Dev Anand, who had studied there in 1938-39.

Himachal People's Forum has said it has written to state chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and education minister I D Dhiman seeking renaming of the Government PG College, Dharamsala after the iconic star.

"The name of this college came to lime light with the elevation of this great actor," forum's Secretary Dharm Pal Garg said, asserting that it will be the best possible way on college's behalf to honour its celebrated alumnus, who passed away in London last week.
