Children should be agents of change: Kalam

Former President Dr A P J Abdul Kalam said that children should be the agents of change and they should aim at updating their knowledge so that they can become role models themselves.
 
Speaking at the launch of 'Lead India 2020' training program in the city, Kalam said that while Indian children have dreams and can perform better, they do not have the means to fulfill the dreams.
 
The former President interacted with children on the occasion and advised them to respect their teachers and parents and become responsible citizens.
 
He said that Andhra Pradesh perhaps is the first state, where value-based education is being imparted by Lead India and once implemented the state will be role model for others to emulate.
 
The Lead India training program was launched in Karimnagar, Medak, Guntur districts besides Hyderabad.

Minister for Civil Supplies Sridhar Babu, Lead India Chairman Sudarshana Charya and GE Chairman Sanjeev Jain were also present on the occasion.
