106 IIT students get placement on day one

Around 106 IIT students were recruited by several international and domestic firms during the first day of campus placement here today.

Sixteen companies including Facebook, Infosys and Microsoft visited the campus here for placement. A maximum number of students, around 15, were hired by software giant Microsoft, an official release said.
 
The campus placement programme, which commenced today, would end on December 22. Around 200 companies are expected to to visit and hire around 950 students.
