UG course introduced in CAD

Chidambaram-based Annamalai University has introduced a new Computer Aided Design course through distance education, considering the huge demand for designers in all sectors.

The University, jointly with Vinzas Solutiona India Pvt Ltd, Chennai, the technical collaborator, through an MOU, set up 'Centre for CAD and authorised CADD Technology, as their authorised Study Centre in the city, Pollachi and Avanashi in Western Tamil Nadu, C Jayaprakash, Liaison Officer, Annamalai University, told reporters here.
 
The main objective was to take the course on CAD, another evolution of the global technological development, to aspiring students from every nook and corner of India,Jayaprakash said.
  
CADD Technology, the authorized training-cum-certification centre of Autodesk, USA, the developer of the Auto CAD software, would provide 3-year course of BSc CAD, Diploma in CAD, PG DIploma in CAD, Advanced DIplomas in CAD with architectural and civil application, Electrical Application and Mechanical applicationall one year course, Venkataraman, its Managing Director, said.
 
Those pursuing degree courses at colleges can join this non-semester pattern programme as their additional degree (dual Degree), he said.
