Updated on: Saturday, November 26, 2011

A novel training workshop for differently abled persons and youth to help them face competitive exams at various levels by improving their soft skills and also improve the quality of their lives was launched by the District Administration here.

The workshop, organised jointly with Rotary Club of Madurai South, would help at least five persons enter IAS or Group One Service, Collector U Sagayam said.

He urged the youths to shed their inhibitions and speak in English and said the workshop would definitely help them communicate in an effective manner.

The Collector said the administration was keen on ensuring that Kokilankulam village was turned into a model village where youths would be on par with their educated counterparts in cities.
