Mumbai: Q2AMedia, a leader in education content development for children (Kindergarten to 12 Grade) and Collins Language, a leading dictionary & language learning provider in the UK, have signed to develop a range of dictionaries and language products for the foreign language learning and English Language Teaching (ELT) markets.
Q2AMedia has bagged the order for development work of the dictionaries and language products. These dictionaries and language products, designed for users from aged 5 to 18, will be launched in 2010 across several markets, including India. Collins is one of the UK's leading English dictionary publishers and the market leader in foreign-language dictionaries. Collins English Dictionaries have been the dictionary brand that millions of people around the globe have relied on for comprehensive and authoritative information on how English is used for over 175 years.
Speaking about this programme, Sudhir Singh Dungarpur, CEO, Q2AMedia said, “Today our customers are looking for expertise, strong understanding of the market and proven capability rather than just cost efficiency, and these were the primary reasons for us being selected in this strategic initiative. Our excellent record of creating quality products for the children’s education market has enabled us to get this order. Quality, reputation and timely execution by our team has been the primary reason for signing with Collins Language”.
Rob Scriven, Managing Director of Collin’s Language commented “We are leaders in the dictionary and language learning area, and we see continuing growth in the demand for language-learning. We have series of new products that we will be launching from 2010 onwards.”
He further added “We selected Q2AMedia since they have demonstrated strong capabilities in the illustrated children reference book market over the years. We needed a partner who could work with our editorial teams to create world-class dictionaries and language products”.
Q2AMedia, which started as the pioneer in creative outsourcing, is today a complete development house in the Kinder Garten to 12 Grade market that focuses on both print and digital content. Industry observers believe that the company is one of a kind and competes mainly with large education content development firms in the US and UK. Last year Q2AMedia became the largest full service packager in the world in the School and Library segment. Q2AMedia has a global team of learning experts, teachers, reading level consultants, writers, editors, designers and illustrators who have experience in developing high quality content targeted at the pre-K to 12 market.
