Karnataka: The Bidar Institute of Medical Sciences (BRIMS) has been allowed to start its admission procedure by the Medical Council of India (MCI).

MCI in its recommendation to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has given permission to the institute to conduct admission procedure.

Counseling for the admission will be conducted on August 4 for admission to 100 seats.

The institute was denied permission to admission after an inspection done by MCI team on May 20 and 21. The MCI found that the institute was lacking in teaching staff.

Subsequently, there was one more inspection on June 30.
