C-DAC to hold entrance test

The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Pune, has invited online applications for a common entrance test to be held on November 19 across the country for admission to job-oriented postgraduate diploma courses at its various centres.

The 24-week full-time courses will commence in February.

Those who wish to get admission should register online on www.acts.cdac.in before November 18.

Courses and eligibility

Diploma programme in advanced computing: Those with a BE, B.Tech., or M.Sc. degree in electronics, instrumentation, computer science or IT; a B.Sc. degree in computer science, or a BCA degree may apply.

Wireless and mobile computing: BE or B.Tech in any branch, MCA, or B.Sc. or M.Sc. electronics. Engineering graduates in electronics, electrical engineering, computer science, IT, electronics and telecommunications, and instrumentation get preference.

Integrated embedded system: VLSI Design: BE or B.Tech. in electronics, electrical engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, instrumentation, and computer science or B.Sc. or M.Sc. in electronics.

IT infrastructure systems security: BE or B.Tech. or ME or M.Tech. in computer science, IT, electronics and communication, and electronics and telecommunication or MCA.

Advanced computer arts multimedia: BFA, MFA, GD Arts or B.Arch.

VLSI design: BE or B.Tech., ME or M.Tech. in electronics, electrical engineering, electronics and telecommunications, instrumentation, or computer science or M.Sc. electronics.

Registration

Online registration fee of Rs.500 should be paid in the form of a demand draft drawn from any nationalised Bank in favour of C-DAC ACTS payable in Pune.

A printout of the online registration form, along with the draft and true copies of certificates, should be sent to the Programme Coordinator, C- DAC, Advanced Computing Training school (ACTS), 5th Floor, NSG IT Park, Aundh, Pune – 411 007 by speed post, so as to reach there on or before November 18.

Do not forget to upload a passport-size photograph while submitting the online registration. C-DAC will conduct another test on December 10.

Those who wish to participate in it should submit their application before December 7. Details can be had from the website www.acts.cdac.in.
