Kalam to address convention at IIMC on its 50 years

Former President A P J Abdul Kalam will address a convention at the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, as part of the 50th year celebration of the country's oldest IIM.
    
''During this two-day convention, globally renowned speakers from various stakeholder groups will share their perspectives on the sustainability issues. It will be inaugurated by Dr Kalam,'' IIMC sources said.
    
The convention on 'Management Education for Sustainable Tomorrow' will be addressed by a host of industry leaders and management gurus from the country and abroad.     

A Directors Conclave, with panelists including  rectors/Deans from all IIMs and other major B-Schools in India, will be held as part of the celebrations to discuss on the future of management education.
    
Other functions lined up for the occasion include  conferring of Distinguished Alumnus Award for the first time on November 15 and 16, an exhibition of archival material depicting the history of the IIMC and the IIM system.
    
Former IIMC chairpersons, directors, faculty and staff members would be felicitated on November 16, the sources said.
