Application for IAESTE internship available

International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE) provides internship training for gaining greater exposure to UG, PG and Research students.

The "International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE)" founded in 1948 in London, is an Independent Non Governmental Organisation (NGO), with 88 Members across the world and is in operational relations with UNESCO.

Every year, IAESTE provides about 5000 internship training opportunity to students, playing a key role in the professional growth and development of students.

‘IAESTE India has been functioning in Karunya University from 2001, representing to the entire nation. Any student from any part of India can register with us and avail internship opportunity through IAESTE chapter.

IAESTE internship trainings are available in fields like Industrial & Commercial Organisations, Research Institutes, Laboratories and Academic Institutions for almost all the subjects covering a wide range of disciplines in Engineering, Natural Sciences and other allied subjects including Economics, Commerce, Management and English.

Any UG, PG and Research student can register for IAESTE Membership.

Interested students are requested to submit the following documents on or before 30 November 2011.

1.      Application Form (can be downloaded from http://karunya.edu/iaeste/
         form/studentapplication.pdf).
2.      CV
3.      Bonafide Certificate from the Head of the Department / Institution
4.      DD for Rs. 1000/- in favour of ‘IAESTE India payable at ‘Coimbatore

In 2011, we received about 35 foreign students from Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Colombia, Denmark, Germany, Mexico, Mongolia, Nigeria, Oman, Portugal, Sierra Leone, Syria, Tansania, Thailand, UK for internship in various departments of Karunya University and other companies like M/s Synthite Industries, Ltd. M/s. Lunar Rubber Works, M/s Pricol.

Likewise, about 25 Indian students from various institutions like, Karunya, IITs, NITs, JNTU, AISSMS (Pune), RIT (Raipur), Rajastan Technical University (Rajastan), Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Koneru Lakshmaiah College of Engineering (AP), etc had opportunity for internship in foreign countries like, Austria, Brazil, Colombia, Germany, Iran, Mexico, Oman, Portugal, Syria, Thailand, UK.

IAESTE India KU is on the process to tie-up with more companies, universities, institutions and research institutions in order to send more Indian students to foreign countries for internship.
