Generally, students wrongly understand between accredited and non-accredited courses.  Approval  received from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Anna University  affiliated colleges are allowed for counselling. National Board of Accreditation (NBA) is certified for various  courses with good infrastructure and faculty etc. This certification is not a mandatory . For accredited  courses, TN government had fixed annual tuition fees  32,500 and for non- accredited courses yearly payment is 40,000.

I have secured 190.75 cut-off mark, Will I get admissions in  Mechanical engineering at Anna University or shall I opt  manufacturing engineering?
- Yamuna , Velachery

Students who have secured more than your cut-off will have more priority in choosing their  desired  courses. So you will have chances in choosing from the  remaining courses. Broadly  speaking, it is advisable to  select courses according to his / her own interest. If you don't  get admission in mechanical, then go for manufacturing.
