The Admission Supervisory Committee will hold a sitting in Thiruvananthapuram on Friday to take a final decision on the proposed entrance test announced by the Kerala Private Medical College Managements Association for filling the management seats in the MBBS programme in its affiliated colleges.
The committee, headed by the former judge P.A. Mohammed, could not take a decision on the test at the sitting held here on Thursday. Committee sources said detailed discussions on various aspects related to the test were held on the occasion.
Representatives of the association said the committee could supervise the conduct of the entrance test. But the association would not allow the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations to conduct the examination as it would be an encroachment on the rights enjoyed by the managements, they said.
