Medical counselling announced for OC category students

Medical counselling for 27 OC category students will be held on July 11, 2010', Medical Education Directorate announced.

According to supreme court order, 50 percent of seats in government medical colleges and private medical colleges(in government reservation seats) should be allocated to OC category students. However, only 35 percentage of seats have been allocated for OC category students in the first phase of counselling for MBBS and BDS courses. Hence, the counselling for remaining 15 percentage of seats would be held on July 11.

Accordingly, 27 students have been called for that counselling which is scheduled to be conducted at medical education directorate selection committee office. Their names have been published in the official website www.tnhealth.org. Despite, some of them not having received call letters, have been told to attend the counselling.

As a result, all seats of government medical colleges have been filled in first phase of counselling, the remaining 27 students are forced to choose any one of the private medical colleges.
