While CBSE students who have given the board exams are allowed to take provisional admissions offline in junior colleges without their marksheets, students from the IGCSE (International General Certificate of School Examination) schools have been denied that option.
"Our students were admitted on the basis of their projected scores till last year, when they came up with a new decision not to allow them. These scores are genuine and are accepted the world over for admissions. If CBSE students can apply offline without their marksheets, then our students should also be allowed to do the same," said Abha Pal, principal of Utpal Sanghvi School, Juhu. IGCSE students usually get their marksheets by the first week of August every year.
