350 seats alloted on first day of MBBS general counselling

On the first day of general counselling for MBBS admissions for academic year 2011-12, a total of 350 seats were alloted.

With a total of 350 seats going to candidates who turned up for counselling out of the total of 1,653 available under the State quota, the last student who managed a medical seat in the government college had a score of 199.25.

 

The top 10 rankers, according to the rank list drawn up by the Selection Committee, all preferred seats at the Madras Medical College. Health Minister V.S. Vijay handed over their letters of admission on Friday morning.

 

The city's colleges have been preferred as usual, with only 16 seats remaining at Madras Medical College, 23 at Stanley Medical College,and 34 at Kilpauk Medical College.
