Applications invited for B.Ed. course

Mahatma Gandhi University has invited applications for admissions to the self-financing B.Ed. programmes offered through its University Colleges of Teacher Education.

Students who have passed their undergraduate courses with at least 50 per cent marks in the relevant subjects are eligible to apply. The eligibility of candidates who have completed the double or triple main, model II vocational and other specialised subjects or streams will be governed by the rules and regulations of the university.

Candidates who have passed M.Com. with at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate alone are eligible for admission to B.Ed. course in Commerce. Those who apply for B.Ed. in IT should have passed B.C.A.; B.Sc. in Computer Science, Computer Applications or Information Technology; M.C.A.; M.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology or I.T.C.C; or B.Tech. in Computer Science or IT.

Candidates seeking admission on the basis of the languages under Part I and II require at least 50 per cent marks for the part concerned and at least 50 per cent marks for postgraduate course in the same language.

Application forms and prospectus can be downloaded from the website www.mgu.ac.in. Completed application forms along with the relevant documents and proof of remittance of registration fee of Rs.300 (Rs.150 for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes) may be forwarded to the Principals of the Mahatma Gandhi University Colleges of Teacher Education on or before July 20.
