116 students take admission in BSc (bio) course

The counselling for undergraduate courses of BSc biology began on Wednesday. On the first day, 116 students were given admission. At the end of the day, only 35 seats (of general category) were left in the combination.

Chairman, UG BSc admission, IR Siddiqui said 225 candidates from all categories, who had scored 160 and above marks, were called for counselling on Wednesday.

Siddiqui said candidates having 155 and above marks, of all categories, have been called for BSc (Maths) counselling on June 23. Besides, OBC candidate with 130 and above marks and all ST candidates, who have appeared in UGAT-11, have been called for counselling. Admission will be done strictly on the basis of merit and subject to the availability of seats. The reporting time is from 9am to 11.30am at Pravesh Bhawan and counselling will begin from 1pm onwards, Siddiqui said.

Meanwhile, AU controller of examination Prof HS Upadhayay said students of BCom I, II and III who want to apply for scrutiny of marks in the final year examinations can apply for the same between June 23 and 30. No application after the given date will be entertained, he added.
