Admission for economics (H) is open in 19 colleges , including Hans Raj, KMC and LSR. While KMC has decreased its cutoff by 2.25%, in LSR the cutoff dipped by 1%. Hans Raj too decreased it marginally to keep it at 95.5% to 96.5%. Admissions , however, are closed in Hindu, Ramjas, IP, SGTB Khalsa, Daulat Ram and College of Vocational Studies.
Though open in many colleges , science courses are still playing hard to get with just a marginal dip in cutoffs. Popular courses like Physics (H) and Chemistry (H) are still on offer at colleges such as Hindu , Hans Raj, Gargi, SGTB Khalsa, Motilal Nehru. Daulat Ram has dropped its Chemistry cutoff by as much as 3%. The college that had raised its cutoff for the course by a whopping 13% in the first list as compared to last year. The college will now admit students to chemistry (H) with 87% and above.
English (H) too is open in most of the colleges, including the 21 CATE colleges. Of the 46 colleges offering the course, admissions are still on 37 colleges. The biggest decline in the cutoff among the non-CATE colleges was recorded in SGND Khalsa with a cutoff coming down to 82% from 87% from the first list, followed by Ramanujan which dropped it by 3%.
History (H) is still open in 29 of the 39 colleges, including Hans Raj, IP, Janki Devi Memorial , Kamala Nehru, KMC and Venkateswara. The biggest fall in history (H) is at Vivekanand College. The cutoff has been slashed from 70% to 60%. The second cutoff admissions start from June 22 and would continue till June 25. The third cutoff will be declared on Sunday. Admissions under sports and ECA categories will start along with intake for second cutoff.
