Second allotment list to be published on Wednesday

Updated on: Wednesday, June 22, 2011

The second allotment list for admissions to the undergraduate courses offered by the Mahatma Gandhi University will be published on Wednesday evening.

According to a release, those allotted seats in the second round of the Centralised Allotment Process should remit the university admission fees and report to their respective colleges by June 24.

Regular classes will begin on June 27.

The first round of allotments had filled 68 per cent of the merit-quota seats. The second round of allotments will decide the admissions to 7,600 seats that remain vacant after the initial phase.

Applicants can log onto www.cap.mgu.ac.in using their application number and password. The allotment memo and challan can be downloaded from the website. The prescribed fee should be remitted at any of the designated branches of the State Bank of Travancore (SBT).

At the time of reporting at the colleges for admission, the candidates should produce all relevant documents — allotment memo, challan receipt, mark lists of the qualifying examination, transfer certificate and conduct certificate, caste/community certificate, non-creamy layer certificate/BPL certificate in case of candidates who claimed reservation under SEBC category and economically backward among forward communities, eligibility or equivalency certificate from Mahatma Gandhi University for those who secured their qualification (except CBSE/CICSE) from outside the State, NCC/NSS certificate, Ex-Servicemen/Dependent Certificate from Sainik Welfare Officer — in original.

Students should pay fee as per the existing rules at the colleges, besides the university fees.
