Engineering application: Boys out number girls

The single window counselling for admission into TamilNadu Engineering colleges will start from 8th of July.

This year a total of 1,48,353 students have applied. The number of boys having applied for engineering education is comparatively higher than the girls. A total of 1,48,353 applications have been received, of which 89,298 are of boys and 59,055 are of girls.

However, counseling for sports persons under sports quota would be held on 30th June. Meanwhile, counseling for vocational group students is scheduled for 1st July to 6th July and counseling for physically challenged will be held on 7th July.

There are about 494 government, government aided and self-financing engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu.
