Students will be able to access the state government’s junior college online admission website from May 10. Last week, students were given admission booklets containing college codes and information about the process to fill up forms online.
The Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited (MKCL) will handle the online procedure this year too. At present, the MKCL is collecting and updating data provided by students through their respective schools.
“This year, the education department is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the admission process goes smoothly. The website will be open to students soon,” said an education department official.
Last month, school authorities, students and parents were told how to fill up online admission forms. “Students will get to fill a dummy form online before filling the actual form. Since the students would be filling a minimum of 30 college codes, we are hoping that there would be no need for offline admissions,” said an official from the education director’s office.
