Parents who went to collect admission forms at Hasanat School, Andheri (E) on Monday were surprised to find out that forms were available only for the nursery section. The Andheri school, which had stopped taking in non-Bohra students, put up a notice that forms for 2011-2012 session could be collected on Monday. However, since the notice was given on Saturday, few parents turned up.
One of the parents who picked up the admission form said, "Most parents who showed up wanted admission in the nursery section. But there were also parents who sought admission for their children in higher classes. They were told that admission to higher classes would be decided as per availability of seats."
"The parents have decided that if a meeting to resolve the issue is not held, they will organise a protest on Friday. The principal said she will arrange for a meeting by Thursday", added a parent.
