The Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), one of the country’s premier management institutes, has given the aspiring students an option of registering online to enroll for the various programmes offered by the institute. The institute has introduced several changes to their admission process and courses to make it easier for the students.
FMS has also decided to integrate the two-year full time MBA in management services (MBA-MS) with its flagship MBA (full time) course. The new programme will be known as MBA (FT). The total number of seats for the programme is 226, 15 seats lesser than the combined intake of both the courses before they got integrated.
FMS Dean K. Mamkoottam has said that the decision to integrate the two courses was taken by the academic council. He said that the total number of seats for the MBA (FT) course has not been decreased since last year. "Besides the 226 seats, there will also be 5 percent seats separately for foreign students," he said.
An entrance test will also be conducted for PhD scholars this year. It has also been announced that an entrance test will now be conducted for the part-time healthcare administration programme. New test centres like Varanasi, Roorkee and Baroda have also been added to the list of existing centres.
