In an unprecedented move, St. Stephen's College of the Delhi University (DU) has called a whopping 3,100 students for interview for only 420 available seats this year.
The number of students that have been called to be interviewed for the Chemistry (Honors) and Physics (Honors) courses this year are 478 and 400 respectively.
The number of students that have been called for the Economics (Honors) course is 300. Economics (Honors) course at the college is not only the most sought after, but also has the highest cut-off mark of 97 percent.
The college has also announced that students who are eligible for interview in accordance with the cut-off list and have not been called for it can come on their own to the college with a copy of their marksheet. The college would then schedule an interview for them as well.
The interviews for admission into the most coveted college at DU will be conducted across a span of 10 days from June 16 to 26.
