Application invited for PG course in Ayurveda

The Commissioner for Entrance Examination has invited applications for an entrance examination to be held on July 25 at Thiruvananthapuram for admission to Postgraduate degree courses in Ayurveda for the year 2010-2011 in Government Ayurveda Colleges at Thiruvananthapuram, Trippunithura and Kannur and VPSV Ayurveda College Kottakkal in the following specialties: Kayachikitsa, Salakyathanthra, Rasasastra, Bhaishajyakalpana, Dravyaguna, Swasthawritha, Prasoonthithrutra and Streeroga, Ayurveda Sidhantha and Darsana, Panchakarma, Kaumarabhrithya, Salyathantra, Manasika, Agadathantra , Kriyasareera, Roganidanam.

Eligibility: Applicant should be an Indian citizen. Age should not be over 45 years as on April 30. Applicant should obtained BAM Ayurvedacharya / BAMS degree with 50 per cent marks for theory and practical separately in each subject.

Applicants who had completed compulsory internship are eligible to apply. The entrance examination will consist of two papers each of two-hour duration and with 150 objective-type multiple choice questions each.

How to apply

Download application form and other details from the website www.cee-kerala.org. Candidates applying from within Kerala state can remit the application fee Rs.1000 drawn in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examination payable at Thiruvananthapuram at any branch of SBT using the chalan provided along with the downloaded application form.

The original chalan should be attached with the application form duly signed.

The candidates who reside outside can apply along with a demand draft for Rs.1000 drawn in favour of Commissioner for Entrance Examination payable at Thiruvananthapuram.

The teachers of Ayurveda colleges and Medical Officers of ISM Department, applying against the seats reserved for them, should remit the application fee Rs.1000 in Treasury in the head of Account 0210 – 02- 101- 99. Such candidates should submit the application before July 3 in the same format available at www.cee-kerala.org along with the original chalan receipt to the Director of Ayurveda Medical Education.
