National Institute of Technology (NIT), Calicut invites applications for its full time, part time, internal and external Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme for the academic session December, 2016.
Eligibility criteria for NIT Calicut Admission:
Educational qualification for NIT Calicut Admission:
Ph.D Engineering: Aspirants wish to apply for this course must be holding MTech degree in engineering/technology in the appropriate branch of study with minimum 60 per cent marks (CGPA 6.5/10)
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or in appropriate discipline with a minimum 9.0 CGPA or 90 per cent marks from a recognised institute or university (Minimum 8.0 CGPA or 80 per cent marks for SC/ST students) and having a valid GATE score.
Ph.D Architecture: Aspirants wish to apply for this programme must be holding a Master's degree in architecture/design/planning/engineering/technology or its equivalent with minimum 60 per cent marks.
They should have minimum 60 per cent marks (CGPA 6.5/10) or equivalent both in Bachelor's and Master's degrees. For SC/ST students 55 per cent (CGPA 6.0/10) or equivalent both in Bachelor's and Master's degrees.
Selection procedure for NIT Calicut Admission:
Aspirants will be selected on the basis of a written test and/or an interview which will be conducted by the respective department/school.
How to apply for NIT Calicut Admission:
Aspirants are required to fill-in the online application form and send the printout of the same along with other attachments to ' Chairperson - PG Admissions, National Institute of Technology Calicut, NIT Campus PO, Calicut - 673 601, Kerala.'
Important dates for NIT Calicut Admission:
The last date to apply online is October 24.
The last date for receiving application forms is October 27.
Test and interview for NIT Calicut Admission will be conducted on November 24 and 25.
