IIT Delhi invites Application for PhD Admission 2017

iitdelhi Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi invites applications from aspirants to apply for its full time and part time Master of Science (MS by Research) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programmes offered in various specialisations for the academic session 2017.

Financial assistance:

PhD: Aspirants will receive Rs 25,000 per month for the first two years of registration (JRF) and Rs 28,000 per month for the next three years of registration (SRF).

MS: Students admitted to MS (research) programmes on full-time basis are considered for the award of teaching assistant-ship, under which they will be paid Rs 12,400/ per month and would be required to provide assistance of 8 hours/week to the department/centre/school.

Eligibility criteria for IIT Delhi PhD Admission:

Educational qualification for IIT Delhi PhD Admission:

PhD programmes: Aspirants applying for this programme must be holding 60 per cent marks or 6.75 CGPA on a 10-point scale in MTech/ME/MD/MSc/MBA/MA/ MBBS or 70 per cent marks or 7.5 CGPA on a 10-point in BE/BTech or equivalent scale.

MS programmes: Aspirants applying for this programme must have pursued BE/BTech/MSc or equivalent with 75 per cent marks or 8.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale.

Selection procedure for IIT Delhi PhD Admission:

Aspirants will be selected on the basis a test/interview conducted by the institute.

Important dates for IIT Delhi PhD Admission

Last date for the submission of an online application is November 7.

Test/interview will be conducted from December 5 to 16.
