Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune invites applications for its Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programme offered in Chemistry and Earth and Climate Sciences for the academic session January 2017.

Educational qualification for IISER Pune Admission 2017 :
Ph.D in Chemistry: Aspirants applying for this programme must possess a minimum of 60 per cent marks in aggregate (overall percentage; not only in majoring subject) or CGPA 6 out of 10 point scale (55 per cent or equivalent CGPA in aggregate for SC/ST and PD candidates) in Master's degree in any branch of science: physics/chemistry/mathematics/ biology or equivalent.
Those holding BE/BTech/BPharm/ME/MTech/MPharm degree are also eligible to apply.
Ph.D in Earth and Climate: Aspirants wish to apply for this programme must possess a minimum of 60 per cent marks in aggregate (overall percentage; not only in majoring subject) or CGPA 6 out of 10 point scale (55 per cent or equivalent CGPA in aggregate for SC/ST and PD candidates) in MSc/ME (or, BS-MS degree) in any branch of earth/climate sciences/physics/maths/chemistry/engineering.
Selection procedure for IISER Pune Admission 2017:
Ph.D in Chemistry: Aspirants should have qualified NET with valid CSIR-JRF/UGC-JRF, CSIR/UGC NET-LS (Date of passing should be in Year 2015/ 2016), INSPIRE-PhD fellowship or JEST or GATE.
Ph.D in Earth and Climate: Aspirants should have qualified NET with valid CSIR-JRF/UGC-JRF, INSPIRE-Ph.D. fellowship, DAE-JEST or GATE in last two years with a valid score.
