The University for Fisheries is functioning Nagapattinam of Tamil Nadu various Diploma courses like:

3. Prawn farm Techniques

5. Mariners Technique

Eligibility criteria:

1. The candidates should be in the age limit of 15 to 25.

2. To apply for Prawn Farming Techniques. (6 months Diploma) the candidates should have passed XII in science stream. The candidates who have studied the vocational subjects in studied fisheries are also considered.

The courses fee for this Rs.10,000/-.

3. To apply for the courses fishing, Boating, mariners (one year diploma). The candidates should have passed X std. the course fee is Rs.15,000/-

4. Prawn farming management is a 3 year diploma course which can be completed by correspondence stream. The aspiring candidates should have completed x std. the persons who are having prawn farms can also apply for this course. The course fee is Rs.5000/- and there is no age limit for this course.

The applications can be get from the university office by paying Rs.100 in cash.
