Admission process for Medical Diploma and certificate courses

The directorate of Medical Education issued advertisement seeking candidates who aspire to do medical diploma courses and related certificate courses.

Courses: 2 : (One year certificate course)

1.Cardio Sonography Technician

2.EGC-Treadmill Technician

3.Pump Technician

4.Cardiac- Catheritation lab Technician

5.Emergency care Technician

6.Recuperating Therapy Technician

7.Dialysis Technician

8.Anesthesia Technician

9.Theatre Technician

10.Orthopedic Technician

11.Audio metry

12.Hearing language and speech

13.Clinical, Therapists, Nutrition and food service managements.

14.Multipurpose Hospital works course.

15.EEG-EMG –courses.

The students who have opted subjects physics, chemistry, Botany and Zoology in XII and passed.

Eligibility to apply:

The candidates who are interested to join in these certificate courses should have passed XII with subjects. Physics, chemistry, Botany and Zoology. The candidates who have opted physics, chemistry & Biology can also apply for this.

The minimum eligibility marks for General candidates is 45%. SC,ST, SCA candidates should obtained minimum 40%.

II courses: Nursing Assistant (One year certificates course):

The candidates to apply for this course should have passed S.S.L.C minimum 40% for general candidates. SC.ST.SCA needs simply pass for applying these courses.

III Courses - Two Years Diploma

1.Dental mechanic

2.Dental hygienist

3.Radio diagnosing technology

4.Radio Therapy technology

5.Optometry

To apply for this course should have passed XII with physics, chemistry, botany & Zoology. The students who took physics, chemistry & Biology can also apply for these courses.

IV - COURSE:

Medical Lab Technology – Diploma. The candidates to apply for this course should have passed in XII with subjects’ physics, chemistry, Botany & Zoology. The candidate who took physics, chemistry and Biology can also apply for these courses. The candidates who took medical lal Tech as vocational subject can also apply for this course. The candidates belonging to General category should have second 50% as average. In Physics, chemistry, botany, zoology (or) Biology.

The candidates belonging to SC,ST,SCA should have send 45%.

V - COURSE:

Medical Record Technician – 6 months course. To apply for this course the candidates should have passed XII with physics, chemistry, Botany, & Zoology (or) physics chemistry & Biology. The general candidates should have obtained 50% minimum as an agreeable in che, botany, zoology (or) bio (or) maths. If the candidates belong to SC, SCA, ST they should have scored a minimum 45% marks. Besides they should have studies MS office certificate course also.

VI - COURSE:

Medical Record scores: (1 year Diploma)

The candidate to apply for this course, should have passed any recognized regular graduates (or) should have obtained. Certificate, Diploma, gradation in Record Technician course. Besides they should have completed certificate course on MS offer.

Age criteria:

To apply in all the above mentioned courses the candidates should be in the age lime of 17 to 32 as on Dec 31st.

The maximum age limit for SC,ST,SA is 37.

Applying procedure:

1.The applications are available in all 19 Govt. Medical colleges in Tamil Nadu and kings Institute in Guindy-Chennai.

2.To get the application is person the candidate should pay the fee through DD (favouring the secretary, examination Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai-600 010.

3.The cost of apply for general candidate is Rs.250. if the candidate being to SC,ST,SCA they need not pay any cost to get the applied.
