The admission for the Indian Institute Technology will be done through the Joint Entrance Examinations (JEE) in two stages respectively as JEE main and JEE advanced clearing JEE main is the eligibility for appearing JEE advanced. By getting ranking in JEE- main the students can apply for admissions in National Institute of Technologies and many Engineering colleges in India. The students who are applying for Architecture courses have to appear for one more examinations. The examinations were conducted in various centers in India on Sunday in which around 13.50 lacs students wrote these examinations. The examinations were conducted in 150 centers on Sunday in Chennai. As such of live examinations were over. The on- line examinations will be conducted on the dates 9,11,12,19 April. The on line examinations will be in the centres of Chennai, Madurai, Kovai, Trichy, Vellore, Villupuram, DIndugal, Tirunelveli, Tuticorin and Kanyakumari.
The results of main examinations will be conducted on May 1 week and the advanced examinations will be on May 25. Only eligible 1 ½ lacs candidate will be called for JEE-Advanced examinations. Around 9900 BE, B.Tech seats on available in 16 IITs in India.
