Admissions to medical and paramedical courses ended on Tuesday with all the 5817 seats filled. This year admission in the general category ended at a lower cut-off.
Officials said that admission to undergraduate medical courses ended at merit number 1810. The last seat was allotted in Bhuj Medical College to a candidate with 75.97 per cent marks. Last year, too, admissions in medical and paramedical courses had ended in Bhuj Medical College but the cut-off was 77.75 per cent marks.
Officials of the Admission Committee for Professional Educational Courses said admissions in dental courses ended at a cut-off of 66.13 per cent and the merit number of the last student admitted was 3644.
Admission in physiotherapy ended at 60.05 per cent and merit number 5151. In all, there were 2,349 seats in medical courses, 930 in dental, 1164 in physiotherapy, 1250 in BSC nursing, 93 in optometry, 21 in audiology and 10 in orthotics.
ACPC officials said that on Monday after admission to seats for socially and educationally backward classes ended, only 125 seats reserved for Scheduled Tribes were vacant.
On Tuesday, when admissions began, all the ST seats including 71 in physiotherapy, 42 in BSC nursing, 04 in optometry and three seats in audiology were filled up. Officials said that the Admission Committee has already dispatched call letters to the students selected for admission.
