Second Phase of counselling for MBBS / BDS in Tamil Nadu

The second phase of Medical Counselling begins from August 5. A total of 1823 seats were filled in the I phase of counseling which began on 28^th July and these students will join in the college on August 1^st.

The second phase of counseling will be from August 5 to August 16. According to Mr. R.G. Sukumar, Secretary of Selection Committee, the seat position will be known within few days. 3 private colleges had gone to court and now the decisions of two colleges are awaited. The exact seat positions would be made clear two days before counseling.

From 165 seats MMC has 85 more seats. Both Stanley and MMC received permission from Medical Council of India.

More over Mohan Kumara Mangalam and Thiruvannamalai Medical Collees are also permitted to add more seats.

According to Dr. G.R. Ravindranath, the general secretary of Doctors Association for Social Equity, 264 additional seats are also available in the government quota from this year. The information will be available in
