Admissions in IIMS

Indian Institute of Management announced its application procedure for Common Admission Test (CAT) for its Institution at Ahmadabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Indore, Kashmir, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Raipur, Ranchi, Rohtek, Shillong, Trichy and Udhaipur. For a 20 day testing window between Oct 16, 2013 and November 11, 2013.

Government of India Reservation policy will be followed. 15% of seats are reserved fro scheduled castes, 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes, 27% of seats for other backward classes belonging to Non-creamy layer (NC-OBC), 3% are reserved for Differently abled. The registration fee for applying.

Rs.1600 (General and NC-OBC candidate) and Rs.800/ (SC / ST ) candidates. The details of payments will be made available from www.cat.2013.iimidr.ac.in from 5.00 pm on Saturday August 3 / 2013.

The registration window opens from August 5, 2013 and will close on Septermber 26, 2013. The details of registration will be available on CAT 2013 Website www.cat2013.iimidr.ac.in

Each IIM short lists candidates for II stage of selection which may be independent of each other. The process consists of Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). CAT 2013 examination is an important factor to select the candidate, IIM may use previous academic performance of the candidates, work experience and other inputs to short list and decide the ranking of the students.

The process, cut offs (Academics) and weights allocated to the evaluation parameter, may vary among IIMS. The web sites of respective IIMs may provide more information.
