Second Round Counselling for MBBS in Tamil Nadu

There is an increase of 410 seats for MBBS in Medical colleges in Tamil Nadu. Which includes 100 seats in ESIC, 25 seats in Salem Govt college. Besides, the admissions in 5 private colleges are stayed and this decrease 664 seats in Govt allotment.

There govt passed order to increase 85 seats in Madras Medical Colleges, 100 seats in Stanley Medical College, Added to this 100 seats are given to the newly permitted Thiruvannamalai Medical College.

Meanwhile, MCI permitted 100 seats in KK Nagar ESIC and 100 seats in Salem Medical College (Increase of 25 from 75) so second Round counseling involves 410 seats.

DD Medical college, Tanjore Medical College are not permitted to admit students. More over Melmaruvatthur Medical college and Madha Medical College are also not permitted to admit students in this year. It seem govt will not give seats to CMC Vellore. He quotes. So, number of colleges under Medical University reduced as 10 from the erlier number 15. So the number of Govt seats, 838 reduced as 664.

In the second Round Counselling there are 410 seats in Govt colleges and 666 in private govt quota and in total 1076 seats.
