Admission in NIT

In this Academic year Central Board of Secondary Education conducted JEE(Main) Examination published the merit list. Common seat Allotment Board (CSAB) was responsible for seat allotment.

Candidates eligible for NIT counseling had to register online by July 9 at CSAB website.

One week time was there to complete this procedure. Unfortunately the candidates found the procedure completed, in the sense, each time whenever they logged in, they were asked to register afresh. On July 10, when the first allotment of seats was announced, many studens found their names missing from the list. Complaints were given to CSAB.

It was on Saturday, the director of CSAB issued to apology note to all the students and admitted the mistake. The mistake was due to mismatch of date between CBSA and CSAB over the name Odisha. The former had used Orissa. Te mistakes were rectified according to the director.

More than 75 institutes across the country that include National Institute of Technology (NIT’s), Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT and IIT DMI), Controlling Forded Technical Institutions (CFTIS) and state Forded Technical Institutes are in the process of admission
