2,100 seats in 44 commerce colleges affiliated to GU are still vacant

Admissions in Gujarat University have ended but 2,100 seats in 44 commerce colleges affiliated to GU are still vacant. As many as 1,100 seats are vacant in Gujarati medium classes and 1,000 seats are vacant in English medium classes.

Gujarat University has asked the students to approach the respective colleges and take admission. University officials said that admission in commerce colleges was not a problem as many seats were still vacant.

However, students complained that when they approached the colleges, they were told that the admission process was over and that there were no vacant seats. GU officials said that they had not received complaints to that effect from any student.
